Your support helps provide programs, prizes, activities, and opportunities that encourage a love of reading throughout our community. Because of your generosity, we are able to create a fun and memorable summer for readers of all ages.

Do you accept donations of books and DVDs?
Yes—we absolutely accept donations of books and DVDs.
At the Ashley Public Library District, every donated item begins a journey. Some are processed and welcomed onto our shelves for our community to enjoy. Others may not be added if we already have duplicates or similar titles, but their story doesn’t end there.
We share materials with other libraries, including public libraries and private partners such as assisted living facilities, helping extend their reach. Many items also find new purpose through our Annual Book & DVD Sale, which directly supports programs like Summer Reading and other library events.
For items that are heavily damaged or affected by smoke or wear beyond use, we responsibly recycle them.
Every donation matters—and every item has the chance to find a new home.
