Plant a Seed, Grow a Reader!
Join us this summer for movies, games, crafts, LEGO fun, and more for all ages!
☀️ May 30 – Summer Reading Program Kick Off | 12–1 PM
Food, crafts, activities, and Summer Reading sign-up fun for all ages.
🎬 June 12 – Movie Night Under the Stars | 8–10 PM
Bring a lawn chair and bug spray and enjoy complimentary popcorn and a family movie outdoors.
🎲 June 26 – Family Game Night | 6–8 PM
Come play games, enjoy snacks, and have fun with family and friends.
🎨 June 29 – Adult Craft Night | 6–8 PM
Must sign up by emailing or calling the library. Join us for a relaxing evening of creativity and crafting.
🎬 July 10 – Movie Night Under the Stars | 8–10 PM
Bring a lawn chair and bug spray and enjoy complimentary popcorn and an outdoor movie night.

Summer Reading Sponsors
We are now accepting sponsors for the 2026 Summer Reading Program: Plant a Seed. Read.
Sponsorships are welcome throughout the summer; however, to ensure your business or name is included on ALL printed flyers, please submit your sponsorship by May 15th.
Forms can be picked up at the library or requested by email at maindesk@ashleypubliclibrary.org.

Do you accept donations of books and DVDs?
Yes—we absolutely accept donations of books and DVDs.
At the Ashley Public Library District, every donated item begins a journey. Some are processed and welcomed onto our shelves for our community to enjoy. Others may not be added if we already have duplicates or similar titles, but their story doesn’t end there.
We share materials with other libraries, including public libraries and private partners such as assisted living facilities, helping extend their reach. Many items also find new purpose through our Annual Book & DVD Sale, which directly supports programs like Summer Reading and other library events.
For items that are heavily damaged or affected by smoke or wear beyond use, we responsibly recycle them.
Every donation matters—and every item has the chance to find a new home.
